Listening Landscapes, 2026.
Video, 07:25 min. Collaboration with Patrick Cesyssens.

Presented at the 5th International Colloquium Word, Sound, Image: Landscapes. Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais, Brasil.

Listening Landscapes is a collaborative video essay that takes landscape as its central question — as something felt, heard, and translated. Moving between seascapes, hand-drawn imagery, and text, the work asks who a landscape belongs to and what it means to inhabit one. Landscape here is understood on the physical terrain, its representation, and its emotional tone of memory and displacement. Beneath the formal play lies an autobiographical undertow, as questions of migration, of the self, and of what it means to look at a landscape from the outside guide the artists.
