In a series of Family portraits, the power of the men in the family is examined and dismembered. The locations are imagined, photographic, or drawn. The collating practice of layering men and landscape, concrete locations and abstract shapes provokes a thought about the nature of commemoration within a family. The identical portraits repeat again and again in different spaces and materials. The choreography of a family in a photo, posing to the viewers, evokes an introspection into the format of a family album.
